Who operates Error Solis
Error Solis is a game published under the Reconecta Games name, which decides how the personal data described here is used. For privacy questions, data-protection requests or concerns, contact [email protected].
Game account data
You can create an account in the game or on this website with an email address and password, or sign in to the game with Google or Apple. For an email account we collect your email address, password and date of birth, and your first and last name when you provide them. We store a one-way password hash—never your readable password—plus email-verification and password-reset records (kept as hashed codes), the time you accepted this policy, security sessions and internal account identifiers.
If you sign in with Google or Apple, that provider confirms your identity and shares a stable account identifier and an email address (Apple may give a private relay address). We store only the provider name, that identifier and that email address. We never receive your Google or Apple password, and we do not keep the name or picture from your provider profile. We ask for your date of birth and acceptance of this policy before such an account can play. When an account created with Sign in with Apple is deleted, we also ask Apple to revoke the game’s access.
We also store the characters you create, their names, gender and permanent careers, level, tutorial and quest progress, in-game currency balances and their transaction history, friends, friend requests, blocks and your location-visibility setting, and an authenticated cloud copy of gameplay state such as ships, equipment, cargo, station storage and current location. Device-local character saves remain until you clear app storage, uninstall, or delete the account in the game. If you choose to stay signed in, your email and password are kept only on your device, encrypted, and are never sent to us; they remain until you disable that option, clear app storage or uninstall.
What other players see
Error Solis is an online game. Your pilot name, career, level and ship are visible to other players. While you fly in connected regions, the shared-world service sends pilots in the same region your pilot name, ship and live in-game position, heading, shields, hull, speed and weapons fire, several times per second. Friends can see whether you are online and your current region and station unless you hide your location, and squads you form exist only for that session. In contested regions other pilots can attack your ship in player-versus-player combat using the same live data. Live positions and squads are held in the service’s memory only and are not stored after you leave; its operational logs record the character identifier, pilot name, ship, level and region of each connection. Pilot names must follow our Terms of Service.
If you send feedback from the game, we store your message and its technical context (the game version and platform, a device and browser identifier string, screen size, locale, the game screen, region and ship, recent error codes and a crash-report reference), and a reply email only when you agree to its use for that report.
Crash and error reporting
The game sends a crash or error report to Sentry when the app crashes, freezes, or hits a script error, and when you send in-game feedback with diagnostics included. A report contains the error message and stack trace, the game version and build, device and operating-system details (model, OS version, memory, graphics and display, locale), performance counters, the region and ship in use, recent game diagnostic lines about frame timing, aiming and saving, and a random identifier for the app installation. Reports are linked only to the internal identifier of the character you were playing. They never include your name, email address, account identifier, screenshots, chat or save files, and the game does not add your IP address to them; Sentry necessarily sees the connection address while it receives a report. The game also sends basic session signals so we can measure how often it runs without crashing. Crash reporting is part of how we keep the game working and is active in every store build. We use these reports only to find and fix problems, never for advertising or tracking.
Why we use it
- create, verify and secure accounts, including Google and Apple sign-in;
- let you sign in and restore your characters across supported devices;
- save game progress and provide the game’s account, character, tutorial, friends, shared-world and gameplay features;
- send account emails such as verification codes and password resets;
- prevent abuse, investigate failures and keep the service reliable;
- detect, diagnose and fix crashes and errors in the game;
- review and respond to feedback, privacy and deletion requests.
Where data-protection laws such as the EU or UK GDPR apply, we rely on the performance of our agreement with you for accounts, saves, gameplay, the shared world and account emails; on our legitimate interests for security, abuse prevention and crash reporting; on your consent for optional website analytics, an optional feedback reply email and update emails; and on legal obligations where they apply.
Website data
The account-creation page collects the account details listed above and sends them through Cloudflare to the account service on AWS. Cloudflare checks the request for abuse and forwards it without persistently storing the account fields or plaintext password. The account pages do not load Google Analytics. Account-deletion requests submitted on the website collect the account email and optional explanation needed to process and verify the request.
The feedback launcher stores the report text, type, page path and title, a server-read browser identifier and a random retry reference. Technical viewport, locale and device-class context is included only when you select that option. A reply email is optional and is stored only when you explicitly consent to its use for that report. You can also attach up to three screenshots: your browser resizes each one and re-encodes it as a JPEG, which removes photo metadata such as GPS location, before it is uploaded to a private storage bucket in the EU (Ireland, AWS eu-west-1) that only the Error Solis team can read. Feedback never attaches passwords, form contents or unrestricted logs, and never captures your screen by itself.
Google Analytics 4 is optional on the public information pages and stays unloaded until you allow it. When allowed, it measures page views, approximate traffic source and region, device category, scrolling, navigation and clicks on the store buttons. Advertising storage, Google Signals and ad personalisation remain disabled, and account, deletion or feedback-form fields are never sent to Analytics.
Before the public release, the website collected tester applications (email, optional callsign, device and testing interests, plus Cloudflare’s country code and timezone and a language hint). That form is closed. Existing applications are kept only to send the updates their senders agreed to, and only while that contact remains relevant or until consent is withdrawn.
Service providers and transfers
Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts the game’s account, gameplay, shared-world and feedback services in its Europe (Ireland) region, using services such as API Gateway, Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, S3, EC2, Secrets Manager and operational logging. Account emails are sent from [email protected] through Amazon Simple Email Service in the United States. Google and Apple handle sign-in when you choose them, under their own privacy policies. Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) receives crash and error reports and stores them in its European Union (Germany) data region. Cloudflare provides the public website, request security and forwarding, Turnstile, and storage for website deletion requests and former tester applications. Google provides consent-gated analytics only on public website pages. Google Play and the App Store distribute the game under their own terms. These providers process data to supply their services; we do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.
Account and game data may also be processed in the United States by our processors, including Amazon SES for account email and a separate test environment we operate on AWS in its United States (N. Virginia) region. These providers process data outside your country under their applicable contractual and legal transfer safeguards.
Security and retention
All game and website traffic uses HTTPS. Website account creation and email verification must pass Cloudflare Turnstile and a private Cloudflare-to-AWS service boundary. Passwords are strongly hashed, Google and Apple sign-in tokens are verified and not stored, sessions expire and a new sign-in replaces your older session, and access is limited to what is needed to operate and troubleshoot the game. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Account, gameplay and account-linked feedback data is kept while the account exists. Crash and error reports are deleted by Sentry automatically after up to 90 days. Verification, password-reset and session records expire or are removed through normal account operations. Server access logs of the account service, which include the connecting IP address, are kept for 30 days and are not used to work out your location; short-lived abuse-prevention counters store only a one-way hash of the IP address. Database backups are kept for 14 days, so deleted data leaves the backups within that time. Anonymous website feedback is retained only while it remains useful for product review, and attached screenshots are deleted automatically after 180 days; an optional reply address is removed when follow-up is no longer needed or consent is withdrawn. Website deletion-request records are retained while the request is verified and completed, then for up to 90 days as a limited processing record unless law requires longer. Other operational logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
Deletion and your choices
You can permanently delete your account inside the game: in the character vault, tap ACCOUNT, then DELETE ACCOUNT, type DELETE and confirm with your current password—or, for a Google or Apple account, by signing in with that provider again. This immediately removes the account, its sign-in links, sessions, characters, quest history, currency and transaction history, friends and blocks, cloud gameplay saves, account-linked feedback and those characters’ local saves on that device. You can also delete a single character and its cloud save in the game without deleting the account.
If you cannot access the game, use the public account-deletion request form. We will verify control of the account email before deletion. You may also ask to access, correct, restrict or object to processing, or to receive a copy of your data, where applicable; withdraw consent to update emails; remove the game’s access from your Google or Apple account settings; or disable website analytics at any time. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data-protection authority. Legal rights vary by location.
Children
Error Solis is not directed to children under 13, and creating an account requires a date of birth showing that you are at least 13. If you believe a child supplied personal data without appropriate permission, contact us so it can be reviewed and removed.
Changes
We will update this page when the game’s data practices materially change and revise the date above. A material change will be communicated through an appropriate in-game, website or email notice when required.
Use of the game is also governed by our Terms of Service. For help with the game or your account, visit Support or write to [email protected].
